Thon Partner Hotel Førde

Terrible experience in the Thon Hotel at Førde where we were 5th to the 6th of August. The first photos you see in Google are old and have nothing to do with the present. We were allocated in room 301 on the back of the hotel at road level, that is beside a back road as you can see in the photos. We asked for a change of room but the person at the reception said that was impossible, that surprised us as the hotel was half empty. In the early morning a laundry truck parked by our window and proceeded to load and unload the laundry with the consequent noise, the bathroom had no electrical plugs, only two holes in the walls with bare cables, also there is a horrible metal door in the room that held the electrical diferencias of the hotel. There was a bed with dirty linen standing by the elevator, and this same elevator was completely dangerous with no safety sliding doors more proper of an old storehouse that a supposedly 3 star hotel.

Excellent beds, have arthritis so a good bed is a perc. Everything clean and neat. Great service. Buffet dinner/dessert was really good. Ate too much. The hotel was nicely decorated with plush sofas and relaxing art and atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing. Ate too much there also. The hotel made a great site for old friends having a retreat ❤️

We are on a trip from the north to the south in Norway and this was one of the hotels we stayed at. This hotel had - by far - the best price-performance ratio on the whole trip. The staff - so kind. The overall hotel design - lovely and modern. The included breakfast at the hotel restaurant - amazing. They have a whirlpool (spa area) included in the price. The hotel has a very nice location near the centre of Førde and a wonderful view on the river and the city. No bad experience made.

This is the hotel you want stay in when you want to visit Førde or locations in Sunnfjord. We arrived last night meeting smiling and polite staff that are going the extra mile to.help you. Local staff with knowledge about how to navigate in the district. The rooms is absolutely good, and I have never dropped down In a better mattresses then this . Next morning we went down to an outstanding breakfast, with freshly made bread from.local bakery with nutrition and tastefully flavours in the driving seat. Small pancakes protected in solid warming pots. Smoked salmon, ham and eggs, all you can require, with that taste and passion behind the food that you need. We will spend 3 more nights, which means 3 more breakfasts servings, tomorrow night we will try the hotel restaurant, and will of course update my review, BUT I am sure I will not be disappointed.
